EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. –  The Iowa PGA competed against the Gateway PGA at Sunset Hills Country Club on Saturday and Sunday, June 1st and 2nd in the 5th Annual Cobra-Puma Junior Cup.
 
The teams battled through two rounds on Saturday with Fourball being played in the morning and Foursomes being played in the afternoon. After the Fourball session in the morning, the event was tied at 4. Following the Foursome session in the afternoon, the Gateway PGA team had an 8.5-7.5 lead.
 
Sunday morning consisted of Singles matches. There were 16 Singles matches played and 16 crucial points up for grabs. The teams went back and forth with many competitive matches finishing on either the 17th or 18th hole. In the end, the session was tied at 8 points apiece.
 
After completion of all matches, the Gateway PGA team won a hard fought battle against the Iowa PGA team. The final score was the Gateway PGA 16.5 and the Iowa PGA 15.5. The Iowa PGA would like to congratulate the Gateway PGA on their hard fought victory and thank them for two fun-filled days of competition.
