Iowa PGA Junior’s Win Junior Cup Matches-
Waterloo, Iowa – The Iowa PGA Junior’s defeated the Gateway PGA Junior’s 26.5 points to 5.5 points in the Junior Cup Matches at Sunnyside Country Club. This marks the first win by the Iowa PGA Junior’s. Back in 2017 Iowa PGA and Gateway PGA tied. Congratulations to the Iowa PGA Junior’s!
The Iowa PGA Junior golfers won 14 Single Matches and 1 tie on the final day of the Junior Cup Matches. Nine of the Iowa PGA Junior’s team members won all three of their matches over the last two days – Paige Hoffman, Amber Henson, Clayton Phillips, Rylee Heryford, Saffire Sayre, Mason Weeks, Jackson Overton, Addison Berg and Evan Smith
Today’s Singles Matches included; Rylee Heryford defeated Nicole Rallo, 5&3. Mason Weeks defeated William Park, 5&4. Paige Hoffman defeated Lucy Trover, 5&3. Clayton Phillips defeated Jack Guyot, 5&4. Saffire Sayre defeated Sydni Thurlow, 5&4. Evan Smith defeated Harper Ackermann, 2&1. Amber Henson defeated Caroline Boyette, 5&3. Jackson Overton defeated Malcolm Castle, 4&3. Eden Lohrbach defeated Reese Reinhardt, 2&1. Owen Howe defeated Parker Bruening, 7&5. Addison Berg defeated Kylie Secrest, 6&4. Morgan Rupp defeated Avery McLaughlin, 7&6. Roman Roth defeated Gavin Hagan, 1 up. Saleah Vivanh-Vong defeated Eva Brown, 3&2.
We had a tie between Isaiah Zoske and Dominick Emig. Ethan Walker battled in his Single Match but eventually lost to Matthew Politte, 8&7.
The final score of the Junior Cup Matches ended with the Iowa PGA Junior’s winning 26 points, while the Gateway PGA Junior’s won 6 points. Click here, to view full results.
