Meet the Iowa PGA Summer Interns
Riverside, IA- Jacob will lead the team as a returning assistant from 2020. He started in March and has been helping a couple of days a week in the office and attending events on the weekend. He is currently attending The University of Iowa, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Sports and Recreation Management. Hesner played golf competitively throughout high school and college, and values integrity and sportsmanship that the game requires.
Blake Newell is one of our Tournament Interns that started with us on May 10. Newell is currently attending Coe College as a Junior with a double major in business administration and communications. He’s a member of Coe College Golf Team and has worked at Brown Deer Golf Club in Coralville. He has participated in Iowa PGA Junior Tour Events and is excited to join the Iowa PGA as an intern.
Simon Schuler is another Tournament Intern that started with us on May 10. Schuler just graduated from Loras College in Dubuque and will be a Graduate Assistant this fall at Illinois State University. Simon has lots of experience as he worked for The Ripken Experience in Tennessee last summer and in the Athletic Communications Office at Loras while in school. He also was a Varsity Wrestler while attending Loras.
Dominic Seivert will round out our team as he started May 14. He is on the Northwestern Iowa College Football team that qualified for the NAIA National Championship game. Dom will graduate in December 2021 with majors in Finance, Sports Management & Business Management with a Certificate / Coaching Endorsement.
