PGA Jr. League East and West Sub-Regionals Recap
Riverside, IA – The Iowa PGA Section hosted the East and West Sub-Regional competitions Thursday afternoon for the PGA Jr. League program. The East Sub-Regional took place at Airport National Golf Couse in Cedar Rapids. The team represented at the East event were Dubuque, Iowa City/Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities and Dubuque. The West Sub-Regional also took place today at Westwood Golf Course in Newton. Teams represented at the West event were two teams from Ames/Marshalltown, two teams from Waterloo and Des Moines.
The PGA Jr. League Section Championship event will take place on Thursday, August 13 at the Sunnyside Country Club, Waterloo, IA. The event will consist of two rounds of matches to determine the Iowa PGA Junior League Champion. Ames/Marshalltown #1 and Waterloo #1 will represent West, while Dubuque #1 and Quad Cities will represent the East.
Congratulations to the All-Star League Teams of Ames/Marshalltown #1, Waterloo #1, Dubuque #1 and Quad Cities on their great play and for advancing on to the Section Championship. Good Luck!
