Henson and Rupp 54-Hole Recap of Girls PGA High School Golf National Invitational-
Frisco, Texas – Iowa was represented by Natalie Henson of Marshalltown and Morgan Rupp of Marion, Iowa both competed in the PGA High School Golf National Invitational at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas on July 10-12, 2023.
The courses that were competed on for all days were Field Ranch West Course, OId American Golf Club
Rupp’s first round (July 10) she carded birdies on holes 12 and 15 including bogeys on holes 1, 13, 16 and 18. Rupp’s second round (July 11) she carded bogeys on holes 1, 3, 5, 7, 10,13, 17 and 18 including double bogeys on holes 4 and 14.
Rupp’s final round (July 12) she carded bogeys on holes 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 18 including double bogeys on holes 3 and 14. Her 54-Hole total 74-84-84=242, 27-over-par and placed T56th overall.
Henson’s first round (July 10) she carded a birdie on hole 9; bogeys on holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,8, 10 and 13 including double bogeys on holes 7, 12, 14, 16, 17 and 18. Henson’s second round (July 11) she carded birdies on holes 6 and 16; bogeys on holes 1, 3, 11, 13 and 15 including double bogeys on holes 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 14 and 18. Henson’s final round (July 12) she carded a birdie on hole 8; bogeys on holes 1, 9, 11, 13, 14, 17 and 18 including double bogeys on holes 2, 3 and 16. Her 54-Hole total 91-96-84=271, 56-over-par and placed T146th overall.
