Iowa PGA Juniors Lead After Round One at Oakwood Country Club-
Coal Valley, Illinois – The Iowa PGA Junior’s lead the Junior Cup Matches 12 to 4 after day one at the Oakwood Country Club. These matches are between Iowa PGA and Gateway PGA Junior Golfers. The final round will conclude tomorrow with Singles Matches starting at 9:00 AM.
The morning started off with Four-Ball Matches. The Iowa PGA Junior’s won five matches and lead 5 to 3 in the morning.
The five matches the Iowa PGA Junior’s won were with Cody Weaver and Jack Rogers defeating Samuel Ottwell and Kyle Chudd, 4 & 2. Rylee Brockhouse and Evelyn Kinney defeated Avery Arendell and Cydney Beckmann, 4 & 3. Logan Otting and Isaac Rumler defeated Bryce Schultz and Noah Cooper, 5 & 4. Allee Rose Booten and Sofia Parker defeated Haley Castello and Ashritha Nadella, 1 up. Harrison Hartke and Palmer Hansen defeated Kaiden Hermann and Leo Miller, 3 & 2.
The teams of Jaylee Shaffer and Kylie Wachtl were defeated by Ally Suhre and Morgan Nute, 2 up. Kirsten Nuss and Liliana Graham were defeated by Audrey Miller and Charlotte Stafford, 1 up. Lucas Laffoon and Henry Baker were defeated by Mukt Patel and Henry Gorin, 2 & 1.
The afternoon session featured Foursome (Alternate Shot) matches.
The Iowa PGA Junior’s won 7 points and the Gateway PGA Junior’s won 1 points in the Foursome Play.
