Meet the Iowa PGA Summer Interns-
Riverside, Iowa – Elizabeth Froehlich is our first Tournament Intern for the 2026 season. She is currently attending The University of Iowa, majoring in Communications Studies and Sport and Recreation Management, with a minor in Sport Media and Culture. She will be graduating in 2027. She is passionate about promoting athletic events that bring people together and make an impact. Combining her work experience in leadership, customer service, and communications, she is confident that she can be an asset to the PGA Iowa’s dedication to promoting the game and positively impacting lives through golf.
Garrett Stebral is our second tournament intern for the season. Stebral is currently attending The University of Iowa, majoring in Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing. He will be graduating in 2028. He is eager to contribute to the Iowa PGA’s mission of promoting the game and positively impacting lives through golf. He has a solid understanding of the Rules of Golf and tournament procedures from his background in sport; he is confident in his ability to assist with event operations effectively and professionally. The opportunity to contribute to tournament operations, junior golf programs, and community events aligns perfectly with his professional goals and personal enthusiasm for golf.
Sydney Stutzel is our third tournament intern for the season. Stutzel is currently attending Coe College, majoring in accounting. She will be graduating in 2028. She is a great team player and a hard worker with her experience at working at Von Maur has given her knowledge in how to make customers feel welcomed.
Tucker Vandervelde is our final tournament intern for the season. Vandervelde is currently attending Simpson College, majoring in Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Management with a minor in coaching. He will be graduating in December 2026. He is inspired by the values that the Iowa PGA carries with them to impact lives through promoting and growing the game of golf.
The Iowa PGA is excited to have Elizabeth, Garrett, Sydney and Tucker as part of the 2026 golf season and look forward to getting to know each of them.
