Spring Series #2 Preview
Riverside, Iowa – The Iowa PGA Spring Series #2 takes place on Saturday, May 11th at Westwood Golf Course in Newton, Iowa. A full field of 73 Juniors and 15 Pee Wees will participate. Pairings and tee times for the event have been released by the Iowa PGA. The Spring Series #2 will be the third of four spring events administered by the Iowa PGA. Spring Series #3, the fourth and final spring event, will be played at Muscatine Municipal Golf Course in Muscatine, Iowa on Sunday, May 19th.
The Spring Series #2 will feature both Junior and Pee Wee age divisions. All groups will be teeing off on No. 1 with the first group starting at 11:30 am. The Junior boys 12-18 and Junior girls 14-18 will play 18 holes. All other Junior age divisions will play nine holes. The Pee Wee age divisions will follow the last Junior group off of the first tee. The boys and girls ages 8-11 will play a 9-hole stroke play format, while the 7 & under age divisions will play five holes. Modified, shorten tees will be set for most Pee Wee Divisions. A special note to all players for the Spring Series #2. Players coming in from the west will not be able to take exit 159 due to roadwork on the bridge just west of the golf course. Please take exit 164 to get to the course.
