Team Iowa 36-Hole Recap of Boys PGA High School National Invitational-
Pinehurst, North Carolina – Iowa was represented by Bennett Dolter, Callan Martineau, Connor Walsh, Henry Thier, Jonah Oberfoell, Anthony Galvin, Bock Mueller and Parker Rodgers all competed in the PGA High School National Invitational at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina on July 18-20, 2026.
The courses that were competed on for all days were Pinehurst #5, #6 and #8.
Due to the weather on Sunday the round 2 play was played on Monday which cut the tournament to just 36-holes.

Team Iowa (DWC) placed T28th overall (311-304=615, +39) to represent the state of Iowa down at Pinehurst North Carolina.
Elijah Anderson’s first round (July 18) he carded a birdie on hole 2 including bogeys on holes 1, 4, 9, 12 and 15. Elijah Anderson’s second round (July 19-20) he carded birdies on holes 1, 8, 10, 14 and 15; bogeys on holes 7 and 12 including a double bogey on hole 3. His 36-Hole total 76-71=147, 3-over-par and placed T67th overall.
Sposato’s first round (July 18) he carded birdies on holes 2, 4, 14 and 16; bogeys on holes 7, 8, 15 and 18 including double bogeys on holes 1 and 13. Sposato’s second round (July 19-20) he carded birdies on holes 10, 14, 15 and 17; bogeys on holes 3, 4 and 11 including double bogeys on holes 8 and 9. His 36-Hole total 76-75=151, 7-over-par and placed T104th overall.
Dewell Anderson’s first round (July 18) he carded birdies on holes 1, 9 and 16; a bogey on hole 18 including double bogeys on holes 3, 6 and 10. Dewell Anderson’s second round (July 19-20) he carded birdies on holes 6 and 9; bogeys on holes 5, 11 and 18 including a double bogey on hole 15. His 36-Hole total 77-76=153, 9-over-par and placed T130th overall.
DePhillips first round (July 18) he carded a birdie on hole 16; bogeys on holes 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 18 including double bogeys on holes 2 and 8. DePhillips second round (July 19-20) he carded birdies on holes 3 and 10; bogeys on holes 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 13, 14 and 16 including double bogeys on holes 2 and 18. His 36-Hole total 82-82=164, 20-over-par and placed T222nd overall.
Fitzgerald’s first round (July 18) he carded a birdie on hole 15; bogeys on holes 2, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 17 including double bogeys on holes 1, 6, 12, 13 and 16. Fitzgerald’s second round (July 19-20) he carded bogeys on holes 3, 9, 10, 14 and 15 including double bogeys on holes 2, 5 and 6. His 36-Hole total 92-86=178, 34-over-par and placed T285th overall.
Individuals – Parker Rodgers
Rodgers’s first round (July 18) he carded birdies on holes 4, 6, 13 and 15 including bogeys on holes 10, 16 and 18. Rodgers’s second round (July 19-20) he carded birdies on holes 4, 10 and 14; bogeys on holes 2, 5 and 12 including double bogeys on holes 15 and 17. His 36-Hole total 71-76=147, 3-over-par and placed T67th overall.
