Special Announcements
- West Des Moines, Iowa – The Iowa PGA hosted the sub-regional event for Drive, Chip, and Putt on Sunday, August 14 at Glen Oak Country Club in West Des Moines. The Iowa PGA wants to congratulate the 143 youth that qualified for the event and to the 16 golfers (top 2 in each division) that advanced to the regional competition at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois, on October 1, 2022. Special thanks to PGA Director of Golf Don Tracy and the Glen Oaks Country Club staff and volunteers for the support in hosting the event! Click here for results.
- Urbandale, Iowa – The Urbandale 15U 9-Hole Junior Classic is an Eagle Point event on the 2022 Iowa PGA Junior Tour Schedule held at Urbandale Golf & Country Club. The Pee Wee Tour Championship will be administered by the Iowa PGA Section and held in conjunction with the Junior Tour 9-Hole event. The Iowa PGA would like to thank PGA General Manager Eddie Dennis and the entire Urbandale Golf & Country Club staff and membership. Click here for results.
- West Des Moines, Iowa – The Iowa PGA hosted the NB Golf Cars/M & M Golf Cars Iowa PGA Foundation Pro-Am presented by the Iowa Golf Association at Glen Oaks Country Club in Des Moines on Monday, August 15. PGA General Manager John Panek led his Davenport Country Club team consisting of Jeff Hassel, Chad Kelley and Steve VanDerSchaaf to the Team Title with a Stableford score of 16 points. The second-place team was PGA Head Professional Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course as he led Jennifer Black, Billy Fratske and Logan Schweinefus with a score of 14 points.
